Effective October 16, 2026
In short: MinMax keeps your cards and settings on your phone. There are no accounts, no bank logins, no ads and no tracking, and we never sell data. The app sends anonymous usage counts, which never include your cards and which you can turn off. Otherwise, the only information we receive is an email you choose to send us.
Who we are
MinMax is an app made by MinMax Rewards LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the MinMax app on iPhone or Android and this website. Questions: support@minmaxrewards.app.
Information stored on your phone
To show you the best card for each purchase, the app stores these on your device only:
- the credit cards you select;
- settings you choose, such as whether you activated a quarterly bonus and the category you picked for a card;
- which categories your widgets show.
This information never leaves your phone. The app shares it only with its own widgets on the same device, so they can show your best cards. We cannot see it, and it is not sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Card updates
A couple of times a day at most, the app downloads the latest card terms (rates, rotating categories, fees) from our website, so they stay current without an app update. The request is the same for everyone and includes nothing about you or your cards; like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs of it (such as IP address).
If you turn on card update notifications, the app works out what changed on your cards and creates the notifications on your phone. No server or push service is involved, and you can turn them off in About MinMax.
Anonymous usage counts
To learn which parts of MinMax are useful, the app sends anonymous counts of how it's used, such as "a category screen was opened" or "onboarding finished with 3 cards". Each count can carry a small detail, like which category or tool was opened or how many cards were picked, never which cards. The app also sends its version, your phone's operating system and version, and its language setting.
These counts never include your cards, card names, rewards, location, contacts, name, email, or any device or advertising identifier. They are processed by our analytics provider, Aptabase, which identifies visits only by a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address that changes every 24 hours, so counts can't be tied to you or followed over time. Aptabase keeps the counts for up to 5 years; because they can't be linked to anyone, they can't be looked up or deleted per person.
You can turn this off at any time in Tools → About MinMax → Share anonymous usage stats. When it's off, the app sends nothing.
Information we don't collect
MinMax does not ask for or collect your name, account logins, bank or card numbers, transactions, location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers. It has no user accounts and contains no ads. Apart from the anonymous counts above, which you can turn off, it sends nothing about how you use it. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Emails you send us
The app's "Request a card" and "Report wrong info" buttons, and our support address, open an email in your own email app. If you send it, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, add the card you asked for, or fix the information you reported. We keep these emails as long as needed for that and for our records, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
App stores
Apple and Google handle app downloads and may collect information under their own privacy policies. Any purchases offered in the future would also be processed by them; we would not receive your payment details.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Children
MinMax is meant for adults who have credit cards. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and rights
You can change or delete everything the app stores by editing your cards in the app or deleting the app, and turn off anonymous usage counts in About MinMax. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information we hold about you; for us, that is only emails you have sent. Write to support@minmaxrewards.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that handle information differently, such as optional linked accounts, we will update this policy before they launch and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
